Subject: HiLiftPW-3 Update This is an update for HiLiftPW-3 The following HiLiftPW-3 Committee grid families are now available: HL-CRM: - A-HLCRM_StrOverset_ChimeraGridTools - B1-HLCRM_UnstrTet_PW - B2-HLCRM_UnstrPrismTet_PW - B3-HLCRM_UnstrHexPrismPyrTet_PW JSM: - A-JSM_StrOverset_ChimeraGridTools <-(not available yet) - B-JSM_UnstrMixed_SOLAR - C1-JSM_UnstrTet_VGRID - C2-JSM_UnstrMixed_VGRID - D-JSM_UnstrMixed_JAXA - E-JSM_UnstrMixed_ANSA (also includes bonus (optional) "fine" grids) (See https://hiliftpw.larc.nasa.gov/Workshop3/grids.html) Note: the original PW restart files for the HL-CRM B1, B2, and B3 series have also been added (although XFine files are so large that they are taking some extra time). Some "special-purpose" grids are also now available (Special_Grids): - a-HLCRM_AdaptedTet_EPIC - adapted to specific alphas - b1-HLCRM_UnstrTetHighorder_PW - high-order grids - b2-HLCRM_UnstrPrismTetHighorder_PW - high-order grids Data submittal forms will be made available in the coming weeks. You will be notified. Note that a 1-page abstract is required by March 15 if you plan to submit data and present results at the HiLiftPW-3 workshop. (See: https://hiliftpw.larc.nasa.gov/index.html). This abstract can be very simple (mostly providing information about who you are and what you plan to do). A sample abstract is available on the home page. Also recall that there are two simultaneous workshops being held June 3-4, 2017: HiLiftPW-3 (https://hiliftpw.larc.nasa.gov/index.html) GMGW-1 (http://www.pointwise.com/gmgw/) The two workshops are directly related, but the focuses are different (one on high-lift prediction, and one on geometry preprocessing and mesh generation). We anticipate that there will be some joint sessions. You should register for the one you are most interested in (planning to spend the most time in).
