Dear HLPW-4/GMGW-3 TFG member,

We now have 3 sets of "committee-supplied" grids for RANS available.  All are accessible from the Grids page:

Click on the link to the independent ftp repository site, then click on Committee_Grids.

We currently have:

1-Pointwise-Unstructured     - Unstructured Grid family 1, from Pointwise (using Pointwise)
                             - V2 is here, although some older V1 grids are still available
2-Pointwise-Unstructured     - Same as Grid family 1, except the grids have been postprocessed with a Pointwise smoother
3-NASA-StructuredOverset     - Structured Overset Grid family, from NASA Ames (LAVA)

... levels A, B, C, and D for the nominal 40/37 case.

The grid set 2 above has been created in order to explore whether smoothing the original V2 grids in set 1 has any impact
on convergence, "runability", or results.

Although not done yet, there are still plans to make one level of grids for each of the other two flap positions
(37/34 and 43/40), as well as to make "hero" grid levels E and F for the nominal 40/37 case.
