Dear HLPW-4/GMGW-3 interested person,

In order to have an in-person workshop, the decision has been made to move the HLPW-4 workshop (as well as the concurrent 
GMGW-3 workshop) to the end of the AIAA SciTech meeting in early January 2022.  Although the precise dates are not yet
known (because we first need to confirm room availability), it will occur sometime between January 7 and 9, 2022.

Leading up to the workshop, a WORKSHOP PROGRESS MEETING (virtual format) is planned for July 15, 2021. This meeting 
will bring all of the Technology Focus Group (TFG) members together for an online assessment of progress and determination 
of areas requiring more focus prior to the January in-person event. 

Here are some important dates to make note of:

May 15, 2021  - Data submittal deadline for Workshop Progress Meeting
July 15, 2021 - Workshop Progress Meeting (virtual)
Nov 1, 2021   - Data submittal deadline for HLPW-4

TFG members should be prepared to submit results to their TFG chairs using official data submittal forms, found on:

https://hiliftpw.larc.nasa.gov/Workshop4/DataForm.html

The first deadline is approximately 2 months from today.  Submission of data by this date is important, as it allows 
the HLPW-4 committee to prepare for the Workshop Progress Meeting, at which time all TFG participants will be able to see 
an overall view of progress to date.  This presentation and discussion will help guide the TFG work going forward.  
It is recognized that data submitted for the May deadline is only a preliminary snapshot of where things stand at the 
time.
